Where to Look for Prevention Training,
Online Courses and Continuing Education

Please check the "Training, Events and Job Openings" section for any announcements about training events, conferences and workshops.  In addition, the following table shows sources of prevention training and continuing education opportunities:

Association of Educational Service Districts (AESD)

Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP), Centers for the Application of Prevention Technologies (CAPT), WestCAPT

CSAP's Prevention Pathways, Online Courses

Washington State Department of Social & Health Services, Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (formerly DASA)

The above are usually a good source for prevention professional training and education; however, they may offer training and continuing education unrelated to those needed for the Certified Prevention Professional (CPP) credential.  Please refer to this list which shows samples of training and continuing education accepted in the past.  In addition, since it is not an exhaustive list, the PSCBW would appreciate being notified about other sources.
